Marissa joined the Cabiri in 2010. As a former gymnast, she quickly fell in love with aerial dance. Over the last decade, Marissa has performed in many Cabiri productions and taught countless aerial students. She is passionate about teaching as a way of helping others safely find artistic expression, exercise, and joy in the air. While she has practiced many aerial apparatuses, Marissa primarily focuses on fabric with a strong emphasis on teaching, learning and exploring fabric theory. You’ll often find her tangled in knots on the floor, exploring the fundamentals of a new wrap, drop or lock.
